Elevator Mechanic (Union Hourly) - Las Vegas, NV

We currently seeking qualified mechanics in our Las Vegas operations (The Strip) for routes, repair, construction and modernization of elevators and escalators.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – MAINTEANCE AND REPAIR:

• Performing preventative maintenance/testing on escalators and elevators for a high profile account
• Performing repairs to escalators and elevators
• Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed
• Availability for overtime callback coverage
• Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – CONSTRUCTION AND MODERNIZATION:

• Installation of new equipment
• Modernization of equipment in existing buildings
• Ability to work as a team member on large projects
• Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed
• Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

High school diploma is required.
 

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous elevator experience, preferably a service route, repairs, construction and/or modernization, is required.
• Possess (or be able to obtain) an elevator mechanic’s license in Nevada.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Must be a current IUEC qualified journeyman mechanic member or become a member prior to employment.

• Must have elevator troubleshooting skills and experience on various types/brands of equipment especially Otis and TKE.
• Must be able to read prints
• Ability to independently solve problems
• Must possess effective and demonstrated customer service, communication and teaming skills
