Elevator Mechanic (Union Hourly) - Las Vegas, NV

We currently seeking qualified mechanics in our Las Vegas operations (The Strip) for routes, repair, construction and modernization of elevators and escalators.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – MAINTEANCE AND REPAIR:
- Performing preventative maintenance/testing on escalators and elevators for a high profile account
- Performing repairs to escalators and elevators
- Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed
- Availability for overtime callback coverage
- Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES – CONSTRUCTION AND MODERNIZATION:
- Installation of new equipment
- Modernization of equipment in existing buildings
- Ability to work as a team member on large projects
- Troubleshooting and adjusting escalators and elevators, as needed
- Full compliance with all aspects of the Otis safety program
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma is required.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous elevator experience, preferably a service route, repairs, construction and/or modernization, is required.
- Possess (or be able to obtain) an elevator mechanic’s license in Nevada.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be a current IUEC qualified journeyman mechanic member or become a member prior to employment.
- Must have elevator troubleshooting skills and experience on various types/brands of equipment especially Otis and TKE.
- Must be able to read prints
- Ability to independently solve problems
- Must possess effective and demonstrated customer service, communication and teaming skills
