Job Summary
In the Service Technician role, you will be responsible for providing Dell hardware warranty service in Seattle Washington. The Service Technician will perform a variety of hardware-focused, break fix repairs on various client products from Dell. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic and moderately complex troubleshooting and repair activities.
 

Role and Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Help Desk for incoming and existing tickets
  • Communicate with customers for Help Desk tickets
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting hardware issues by providing direction and suggestions
  • Order replacement parts through Dell Tech Direct
  • Check in parts as they arrive
  • Schedule repairs with clients
  • Perform PC repairs in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Travel to client locations to perform repairs
  • Working with Dell Support for escalations
  • Assist with out of warranty requests – Submit quote requests
  • Oversee warranty team to ensure all aspects of the job are being completed
  • Daily checkup on Dell Tech Direct to ensure all parts ordered have been approved.
  • Other job duties as assigned

  • Ability to follow verbal direction
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical and non-technical matters with clients
  • Ability to make decisions at client sites and update team accordingly
  • Detail-oriented and passion for producing quality work
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to work effectively with peers, clients, and Senior Management
  • A+ Certification
  • Ability and skillset to earn the Dell Certification – Dell Certified Hardware Technician

Additional Notes

This position will require travel to customer locations in the Seattle area.  You will need a valid driver’s license. Company vehicle provided.
