Associate Scientist

Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:

• Machine learning integrated with biology at scale lies at the core of our clients' approach to rethinking drug discovery and development.
• Contribute to the core biology platform that our client is building by working as a key member of the Process Engineering team.
• Working on many aspects of iPSC technology such as iPSC automation, cell line maintenance, and differentiation.
• Primarily focus on supporting the day-to-day activities for the setup, operations, and teardown of our automated cell line management systems. 
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and develop continuous improvement solutions to improve the reliability and quality of our workflows.  
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, a strong collaborative work ethic, the ability to adapt to changing needs, and the capacity to multitask to meet key goals.
• Occasional weekend work will be required.

Requirements of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:

• B.S/M.S. in Biology or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry 
• Experience with supporting the operations on laboratory automated platforms 
• Meticulous about experimental details and lab work 
• Strong data entry skills  
• Strong team/collaborative skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills  
• A desire to transform drug discovery and help patients 

Preferred qualifications of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:

• An understanding of stem cell biology, as applied to drug discovery
• Familiarity with creating or editing liquid handling methods 
• Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques
• Familiarity with reviewing, interpreting technical information, and writing SOPs
