Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:
- Machine learning integrated with biology at scale lies at the core of our clients' approach to rethinking drug discovery and development.
- Contribute to the core biology platform that our client is building by working as a key member of the Process Engineering team.
- Working on many aspects of iPSC technology such as iPSC automation, cell line maintenance, and differentiation.
- Primarily focus on supporting the day-to-day activities for the setup, operations, and teardown of our automated cell line management systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and develop continuous improvement solutions to improve the reliability and quality of our workflows.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, a strong collaborative work ethic, the ability to adapt to changing needs, and the capacity to multitask to meet key goals.
- Occasional weekend work will be required.
Requirements of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:
- B.S/M.S. in Biology or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Experience with supporting the operations on laboratory automated platforms
- Meticulous about experimental details and lab work
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong team/collaborative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A desire to transform drug discovery and help patients
Preferred qualifications of the Associate Scientist - Research Operations:
- An understanding of stem cell biology, as applied to drug discovery
- Familiarity with creating or editing liquid handling methods
- Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques
- Familiarity with reviewing, interpreting technical information, and writing SOPs
