Capital Business Software is growing our business applications practice in the Kansas City market and is seeking a developer / administrator to evaluate, build, deploy and manage CRM and other SaaS & point of sale applications for our clients. Founded with a focus in the payments industry (think credit and debit card payments), we have grown our product suite into several areas that help our customer grow and run their businesses. Two of those areas are CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and POS (Point of sale) systems and we need more develop expertise in this area.

What is the skillset we are looking for?

• Technical / software savvy
• Basic proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, PHP, Deluge, etc.)
• Some experience with CRM or other business information systems
• Basic knowledge of relational database methods
• Basic knowledge of cloud-based software applications
• Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, printer configuration, wifi setup)
• Strong PC and basic office applications a must
• Strong project management skills

What will you be doing?

A lot! We have a pipeline of customer CRM and POS builds, each one requiring planning, research, development, configuration, training and deployment. We are not looking for someone who already knows it all, but someone with a basic technical and programming foundation that we can build on. Daily, you will be working on multiple projects with varying deadlines and complexity. This is a small team, so after the planning is done, everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets to the work. We expect this role to have rapid growth in skill set and in compensation.
