Module X Solutions in Shreveport, LA is taking applications for Flux Core Welders and Fitters.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Welder is responsible for metal components together with flux core and variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair modular buildings and its components by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Welds metal parts together using flux core wire feed and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
• Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
• Perform non-essential duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years welding experience
• Completion of Technical College Curriculum for Welding, preferred but not required
• General Mathematical Skills
• Ability to read a fractional tape measure
• Modular Building experience preferred
• Must be experienced with all tools associated with the trade
• Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
• Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
• Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights
• Ability to work safely

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Ability to work at heights with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs, step stools, ladders, scaffolding, platform ladders, or mechanically elevated devices and be comfortable around heights and working on a roof
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, stand, walk, push and pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity
• Ability to occasionally remain in stationary position, to sit, climb, crawl, and kneel
