About the Role

The Automation Engineer sets and maintains quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

The Automation Engineer

• Develop and maintain scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks for our solution
• Oversee a technical area and deliver polished automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports
• Collaborates and communicates with management, developers and Product Management to articulate test automation that will add business value
• Represents the software quality assurance team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects, including web apps and API integrations
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Full-Stack experience
• Hands-on Object Oriented programming experience, experience in one or more programming languages, such as PHP, Python, JS, etc and scripting.
• Experience in customer-facing applications, preferably web applications, web sites, web portals and content management systems
• Experiencing in building and maintaining UI (Selenium or similar) and API Automation frameworks and End-End Automation.
• Exposure to source control, build and release processes, and continuous deployment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills
• Experienced in building and owning Jenkins jobs for CI/CD, Application Monitoring and Alerts.
• Pytest framework experience is an advantage.
