The Works Entertainment is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Rigger/Carp for our ongoing North American Tour of The Illusionists. THE ILLUSIONISTS has shattered box office records across the globe and dazzles audiences of all ages with a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing magic acts ever to be seen on stage.
The Rigger/Carp Technician is responsible for oversight of the deck as well as a few rigged elements in the production, including human flight on a Kinesys system (see below for Kinesys training). Broad familiarity with touring theatrical work is required. Touring experience as a carp or rigger a plus. Qualified candidates will have either an ETCP, IRATA or NCCCP certification as a rigger, OR substantial documented rigging experience in the entertainment industry. Preferred candidates will bring fast-paced touring experience, a positive attitude and excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
While the position does require operation of a Kinesys system, we can provide Kinesys training for a good rigging candidate, adding to your skillset if you do not have this very important experience.
Position begins September 21, 2018. Current tour schedule runs through June 2019 with a couple of layoff periods. Ongoing work a possibility for the right candidate. Pay is $1,500/week plus per diems.
