Torch Burner

WE NEED BURNERS!!

A dynamic scrap metal recycling and processing company is in need of Torch Burners!!!

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Prepare revert scrap using hand torch as directed by turn supervisor

*Replace worn or defective hand torch tips and/or nuts as needed to effectively process revert scrap

*Exercise good judgment to identify any hazards present that could create unsafe work conditions for self or other employees

* Avoid hazards that may exist or arise, in order to maintain a safe work environment

Capable of being self-directed (i.e. once scrap processing in a specific area has been completed, employee must be able to unhook hand torch from gas and oxygen lines, identify the next area the requires scrap preparation, and begin work without explicit instructions from supervisor)

Skills, Abilities and Experience Required:

• Prior experience using natural gas and oxygen hand torches will be taken into account
• Lift the combined weight of hand torch, gas, and oxygen hoses (at a minimum)
• Able to remain standing for extended periods of time while holding hand torch
• Adjust to work schedule as required

Salary: $12.00 to $13.00 /hour
