Tax Accountant

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a  Tax Accountant with 5+ years tax experience to work for a client in Fairmont. This opportunity provides great benefits, room for advancement and a starting salary of up to $80,000 annually.  

Responsibilities include:

• Tax preparation for corporate, partnership and individual clients,
• Assisting management with gathering financial data needed for ongoing tax planning purposes for clients in a variety of industries
• Preparation and calculation of tax provisions for corporations
• Providing client support and assistance regarding tax and accounting related items on an as needed basis

Skills/Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation

• CPA certification a plus
• A minimum of 5 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting environment
• Excellent technology skills including proficiency with one of the complex tax return preparation software systems
• Extensive individual/corporate/partnership/pass-through tax knowledge
• Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations and U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members
