Talent Acquisition Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with manufacturing leaders to source, assess, select, and hire up to twenty-five hourly employees a month. This role will support at least one 24/7 manufacturing operation, with potentially more to come. In addition, the role will support hourly roles in distribution, customer service, and warehousing, in multiple states.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with hiring managers, HR, and team members to clarify open roles, perform standard intake meetings, source, interview, select, and hire hourly employees with a high focus on quality, volume, and speed to hire.
• Work with leaders to understand recruiting issues within the area of responsibility, develop solutions, and secure necessary resources.
• Report out on results using a standard recruiting dashboard noting funnel results.
• As a member of a FSG HR team, participate in organization-wide human resources initiatives and task teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• 3+ years recruiting experience, in a commercial recruiting, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated sourcing, selling, and discernment skills.
• Engaging communications skills and the ability to positively represent the company.
• Adaptability and flexibility and a willingness to adopt new and creative recruiting methods.
• Ability to readily generate clarity and next actions in a highly matrixed environment, to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture.
• Ability to team and network with other recruiters and HR leaders across the company.
• Many applicants to the open roles assigned to this desk are not native English speakers. The ideal candidate for this role would be bilingual at least in Spanish and English, and be able to readily source translators for other languages spoken by applicants. Must be culturally competent and able to point to a history of successfully sourcing and recruiting efforts toward communities previously unknown to the recruiter.

NOTE: This is primarily a work-from-home role, with all tools such as computer, etc supplied. There may be some travel, for example to our NE Houston facility, to better understand the roles and to build relationships.
