Summer Counselor

Camp Balcones Springs is currently seeking candidates who are looking to have FUN this summer! We are seeking individuals experienced in food fights, water balloon wars, tying of shoes, and overall role-modeling! Our mission at camp is to positively impact the lives of our campers through the relationships formed. We are seeking high-energy individuals to help us obtain this mission! As a Summer Counselor,  you have the amazing opportunity to mentor kids both in a cabin setting, as well as leading lessons at activities throughout the day. Camp Balcones Springs offers a wide array of activities to choose from, and let's YOU teach the activities of YOUR choice. We also offer FREE certifications that you can take with you after camp, which can lead to additional opportunities for you to make money and gain an added skill set.

While at camp, you receive free lodging, with all meals provided. You also get a chance to develop amazing life skills that will translate to any future career. Skills such as: Leadership, Teamwork, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Flexibility. With a week-long staff orientation, you'll have a chance to develop the necessary skills before the kids even arrive.  But the overall best perk of working at camp is the relationships you form! We hire high-school and college-aged students from all around the world, so you get an opportunity to meet so many new friends. Camp Balcones Springs is a co-ed summer camp for kids ranging in age from 7-17.  Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, it's the perfect setting for kids of all ages to come unwind and unplug for one, two, or three week sessions.  Camp Balcones Springs offers over 40 activities for kids to choose from, as well as a private, 10-acre lake.  Though the activities are plenty, the most significant aspect of camp comes in the relationships formed.  With a 4-1 staff to camper ratio, there is an emphasis on connection and growth with each camper.  You'll feel many things during your time at Camp Balcones Springs, but the most important is loved!
