SQL Developer

• Design stable and reliable databases, according to organizational requirements
• Responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new databases for the data and analytics portal, and will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency
• Design, create and manage data modeling and database schema in accordance with business requirements
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
• Develop best practices for database design and development activities
• Perform regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and upgrades, when required
• Test and implement database backup and recovery operations
• Monitor and optimize database and server performance
• Maintain existing stored procedures and review existing SQL code
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
• Pay attention to detail at all times
• Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study and/or equivalent IT working experience
• Microsoft Certifications and/or other vendor certifications
• Experience in Database Systems architecture, design, development and implementations
• Highly skilled and proficient in Microsoft SQL Server DBA discipline, and extensive experience in logical and physical Database Systems design
• Solid experience with performance monitoring tools to find opportunities for optimization and improvement
• Experience with SQL query development and working with developers in web-based environment
• Experience with SQL encryption technologies and third-party monitoring tools
• Hands on knowledge with business intelligence tools
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
