Sunny Days of California, Inc.is looking to grow our team of Pediatric Speech Language Pathologists who are compassionate, dedicated and love working with children and families. This position allows you to create a flexible schedule (anywhere from 2 hours to a full caseload per week). We work with your availability and the areas that you want to serve!
 

We currently have openings for a small number of Pediatric Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) throughout Southbay LA and Harbor region (Long Beach, San Pedro, Cypress, Lakewood, Torrance, Carson and etc.)!
 

Minimum qualifications:
 

• A current California License
• Knowledge and expertise in child development (birth to three)
• Pediatric experience
• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to be a successful partner/coach with the family
• Resourceful, ability to seek out the information and support needed to a successful Early Interventionist
• Proficient in performing assessments
• Willingness to keep your skills and modalities current, recognizing the evolution of best practice in the field of Early Intervention


As an Speech Language Pathologist, you will be working as a part of our early intervention team with children and their family members in their homes. Our early interventionists incorporate support strategies into the family’s daily routines, maximizing their child’s ability to participate in all aspects of their daily lives.

Responsibilities include, but not limited:

• Provide coaching to parents and direct care treatment to children; ages Birth - 3
• Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
• Provide comprehensive treatment to infants and toddlers utilizing modalities to promote developmental growth in natural environments
• Document client’s progress
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment goals to achieve maximum benefit
• Complete billing logs ethically and accurately for speech therapy services provided

Sunny Days is an early intervention provider serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Our services are provided in natural environments, wherever children and families typically find themselves: home, child care environments or other community locations (parks, playgrounds, shopping centers, etc.). We provide a full range of services: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological services and Special Instruction services. We tailor these services to specifically target each child's needs with an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Our practitioners' design intervention strategies that are built around a family's daily routines and activities. Depending upon location, Sunny Days can provide all necessary services, including initial evaluations (to determine eligibility) and all IFSP authorized services, to individuals of all developmental levels ages 0-3.
