Title: Senior IBM DataStage Admin/Developer – 6 to 12 Months - New York City
Location: New York City NY (Need only local candidates)
Duration: 6 – 12 Months
Description:
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent IBM DataStage 11.5 administration experience in Windows environment
- Deep knowledge of IBM Infosphere Information Server administration
- Extensive experience with IBM ISTool Command Line interface
- Experience installing/upgrading Information Server product suite
- Experience managing XMETA database
Preferred Experience:
- Experience developing applications using IBM DataStage ETL
- Extensive experience with IBM DataStage Designer and Director
- Experience with IBM Information Analyzer and IBM WebSphere
- Good understanding of ETL Best Practices in design and implementation
- Experience in managing Metadata Asset Manager and Information Governance Catalog
- Experience in Windows scripting
The following deliverables shall apply:
- Develop DataStage installation and support guidelines that are consistent with IT security policy
- Maintain production ETL jobs/workflow and optimize performance
- Troubleshoot production incidents/problems and operation errors
- Provide third level support regarding DataStage product related issues
- Perform the design, development, testing and deployment of ETL data solutions
- Manage overall Information Server maintenance
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to other ETL developers
- Apply fixes, patches, service packs and address security compliance requirements for ETL tools
- Perform required XMETA maintenance task (OMD purge, Corrupted Project Recovery, etc.)
- Document Runbooks for the Installs, Disaster Recovery plans, etc.
- Engineer and Install/Upgrade Information Server product suite including post install testing
- Provide infrastructure operations support and recommend upgrades in 11.5 and 11.7 DataStage environments
- Liaise with product vendors and technical specialists to resolve issues
