Job Description:

IND Consulting is currently hiring a Senior Accountant for our new Waco, Texas location. 
 
IND Consulting specializes in helping long term care pharmacies through operational consulting, data entry services, IT consulting, and data conversions. The role of the Senior Accountant is to assist with IND’s internal and external accounting and financial reporting. 
 
Job functions include, but are not limited to: 
 
 
• Prepares monthly financial statements by the 7th business day of the month. Includes balance sheet and profit and loss statements. • Prepare accounting-related entries to expense prepaid accounts and record accruals. • Provides guidance to Jr Accountant when discrepancies in the records occur, ensuring accurate recording and classification of accounts payable transactions. • Reconcile the bank account daily, ensuring transactions are recorded properly and accurately by A/R and A/P Specialists. • Analyze balance sheets and selected P&L accounts monthly. • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. • Maintains the Fixed Asset Schedule and associated depreciation schedules; ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals. • Continuously evaluate and streamline processes • Administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep CEO informed of the organization’s financial status • Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices with current best practices and ensure compliance. Working closely alongside IND’s accounting team in its FL headquarters as well as its overseas offices • Working closely alongside IND’s accounting team in its FL headquarters as well as its overseas offices • Assisting with other areas of accounting as needed 
 
 
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and requirements: 
 
• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred • 5+ years’ accrual accounting experience and/or training in a midsize/large business • Experience using Quickbooks Online • Efficient in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc. • Experience in LTC Pharmacy or related healthcare field preferred • Excellent leadership of peers • Exhibit initiative to ensure all deadlines are met • Effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership • Exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situations • Fluency in Spanish preferred
