Title: Registered Nurse
Assignment: School Nurse (Public Charter School)
Work Type: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR 1099 (FULL-TIME OR PART TIME AVAILABLE - UP TO 40 hours a week)
Our client is seeking multiple skilled Registered Nurses to provide clinical support in multiple public charter schools throughout Washington, DC.
Please Note: This assignment is not eligible for remote/ telework at this time.
CLIENT'S SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
- Notifies parents of pupils about illness: Medical, dental, Vis ion, Mental Health, behavioral issues and provides counseling directed towards pursuit of appropriate action
- Oversees and provides emergency service for ill or injured pupils at schools
- Completes accident reports as needed
- Administers, Monitors, trains staff and supervises Specialized Health Care Services and medication prescribed by physicians
- Monitors and maintains health records for each pupil, including the update of immunization requirements I TB Assessments and Tdap according to legal mandates and district's policy and procedures into student records and or database system
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Graduation from an accredited nursing program
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia
* Must have a current CPR (or BLS) Certification
* One year of experience working with pediatric patients
