Sanitation Lead

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sanitation Lead will oversee sanitation in compliance with regulatory standards. This Sanitation Lead will be responsible for ensuring proper sanitation is achieved and required documentation is completed. During production operation hours, the Sanitation Lead will also be responsible for completing various quality assurance tasks. The Sanitation Lead will also be responsible for overseeing employees and ensuring those employees are properly completing task and training employees in proper cleaning methods and chemical usage.

• Enforce proper GMPs and Sanitation Practices.
• Complete ATP and allergen swabbing.
• Oversee changeovers and shut down procedures.
• Train employees on proper practices.
• Responsible for the Chemical Control Program
• Responsible for ensuring the production room is in compliance with sanitation standards at all times.
• Update Master Cleaning Schedule, as needed.

• 3+ year’s experience working in Sanitation or Cleaning of Food Industry - GMP knowledge.
• Experience leading a small team of janitorial, custodial or sanitation workers.
• Capable of working independently, with initiative, self-direction
• Prior experience with food processing sanitation required.
• Knowledge of allergens and allergen control required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to form rapport with employees.
• Strong problem solving skills and the confidence/competence to make independent decisions.
• May be required to lift up to 50lbs while conducting sampling.
• Will be required to properly handle chemicals.
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
