Sandblaster

Job Summary:

The Sandblasting Technician is responsible for operating the sandblast machine to clean parts and components in the Weld Department. This includes reading engineering prints, verifying accuracy of paperwork, and inspecting tools and equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate the sandblast machine to clean parts and components.
• Sandblast and clean various components while standing for long periods of time.
• Read engineering prints/drawings/documents.
• Identify and verify parts and materials to work order.
• Verify accuracy of paperwork as required.
• Periodically inspect tools and equipment for accuracy/deficiencies.
• Ensure job orders remain with parts at all times.
• Observe and follow all safety practices dictated by company policy.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Ability to lift up to 49lbs on occasion with a lifting partner.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
