Our client based in Northwestern Virginia, is a 501c3 non-profit advocacy organization that makes homeschooling possible by protecting homeschooling families and equipping them to provide the best educational experience for their children. They have been trusted for over 35 years to care for homeschooling families as they work to safeguard their freedom and secure the future of home education.

 

They are seeking to add a Salesforce Developer to their team. This is a direct hire or contract to hire opportunity based onsite at their Virginia HQ. 

 

As Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for supporting complex business solutions catered around Force.com, lightning components and lightning communities, Pardot and Service cloud, and various technology stacks outside of Salesforce.com to support integration, such as .NET/C#.

 

This is a hands-on role that requires significant technical experience and abilities with Salesforce and related cloud technologies and uses that knowledge and experience to influence and guide teams and clients. Qualified candidates must be strong with Apex and Visual Force development, including extensive experience developing Lightning Components and other custom UI components optimized for Lightning Experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Identify, design, and recommend Salesforce.com based solutions, integration points and related implementation architecture for business usage improvements, scalability and performance.

·          Judges the tradeoffs with technology and feasibility and makes choices that fit the constraints of the project and minimizes current costs, maintenance needs, and technical debt

·          Establish, participate, and maintain relationships with business units, project managers, and subject matter experts in order to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks, and function/integration issues.

·          Provide technical expertise on projects focused on Salesforce - Service Cloud, Pardot, and the Force.com platform.

·          Design, develop, implement and maintain VisualForce, AppExchange, Force.com pages and integration with on premise or third-party solutions using Web Services, REST, including creation of custom objects, Apex classes, Triggers, workflows, email alerts.

·          Support integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.

·          Independently perform development, testing, implementation, documentation as it relates to salesforce.com software and Force.com platform.

·          Release and Environment Management including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons, and version control.

·          Maintain documentation and change standards, following the prescribed software development life cycle.

·          Support integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.

·          Provides mentoring and guidance to other team members.

·          Conduct design/code reviews during major project milestones.

·          Develop specifications and appropriate designs based on loose and implied requirements.

·          Keep abreast of new technologies and suggest their application to company systems where appropriate.

·          Liaise with third party software/support suppliers such as Salesforce.com.

·          Work to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems

QUALIFICATIONS

·          Experience in Multi-cloud Environment (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud)

·          Experienced in Salesforce.com development including Lightning Communities, Apex Classes, Triggers, VisualForce pages, SOQL, Lightning components

·          Experience with technologies that work with Salesforce, Java Script, JQuery, Web Services, REST and SOAP APIs

·          Experience with APEX Enterprise Patterns ? Separation of Concerns (FinancialForce Library)

·          Experience with Salesforce Communities

·          Experience with heavy duty customizations on the SFDC stack

·          Good understanding of data structures, data modeling, database schema required

·          Prior experience with integrated applications such as ERP, Data Warehouse strongly desired

·          Knowledge of Salesforce Integration Patterns and Salesforce Best Practices using Apex and VisualForce

·          Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization

·          Possess the ability to scope the technical portion of a project, estimate resources, and develop solutions.

·          Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively

·          Strong work ethic and disciplined time management skills.

·          An open mind to embrace new technology stack, solution stack and mix of multiple vendors

·          Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology

·          Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional teams

·          Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision

EXPERIENCE

·          BS degree or equivalent experience

·          2+ Years experience development of Custom Lightning components

·          2+ Years experience Lightning Communities

·          2+Years experience Marketing Cloud / Exact Target [OPTIONAL BUT PREFERRED; Pardot]

·          5+ years Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, Azure DevOps, C#/.NET, and API Integrations

·          3+ years work experience in a senior applications role

·          MuleSoft experience a plus
