Job Title: Sales Manager
Reports to: Partners

Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales team and driving sales of the farm's products and services. The Sales Manager works closely with the farm owner/partner and other department heads to develop and execute sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data to improve performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the farm's overall goals and objectives
  • Hire, train, and manage the sales team, providing regular coaching and feedback to improve performance
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers to generate sales leads and increase sales
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, such as brochures and sales sheets
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Set and track sales targets for the sales team, providing regular reports on progress towards goals
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring that customer needs are met and issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure that products are available and priced appropriately for the market
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within budgetary constraints
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the agriculture or food industry
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications as needed

Physical Demands:
  • Minimal physical demands, but may be required to attend events and meetings outside of normal business hours.

Work Environment:
This position will work primarily in an office environment or from home, with occasional travel to farm locations for events and meetings.
