Safety Engineer - $80-90K – Consumer Products Manufacturing - Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership of safety program developing to achieve cultural permanence, site-specific performance objectives and program implementation goals. Maintain understanding and knowledge of current applicable federal, state, local regulations and company policies. Track and report operational safety performance. Provide leadership and facilitation and drive for a sustained plant safety committee. Develop and drive emergency response and business continuity initiatives. Lead the operation to best practices and best-in-class EHS results. 80% safety and 20% environmental.
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Environmental Engineering desired. 2+ years of experience in safety and health in a manufacturing setting. Certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and workers compensation best practices. Knowledge in developing and implementing effective training programs. Competent in driving continuous improvement in HSE.
Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) is a plus.
