LPN Floor Nurse Job Description

• Provides general nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Obtain health history, chief complaint, and vital signs.
• Perform allergy shots as needed.
• Assist in minor medical procedures as needed.
• Administers immunizations.
• Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers medications, and monitors treatment progress and patient response.
• Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Promotes wellness by providing patient teaching about medications and communicating physician advice and/or instructions.
• Documents accurately into patient’s electronic health record.
• Performs administrative, clerical, and equipment duties as assigned, including but not limited to cleaning, stocking, and inventory.
