RN/LPN

We are hiring 25+ RN/LPN supporting the Immunizations project in Arizona. 
 

Position Description

The primary purpose of this position is to provide hepatitis A vaccine to adults being. 

• Screen for vaccine contraindications, explain the need for immunization, answer questions and administer vaccine. Secure syringes and maintain a count using facility system (85%) Maintain clear and accurate documentation of activities through nurse’s notes, reporting forms, consent forms, and computer databases including Arizona State Immunization Information System and Tech Care (Electronic Health Record). (3%) Provide health education/counseling/intervention on Hepatitis A to inmates in the jail system. Complete required orientation and background check as directed by facility.

Skills Required

• Highly motivated and a self-starter. Must be a team player who enjoys interfacing with people.

Experience Required

• Current nursing experience required. Prefer community-based nursing experience.
• New graduate of BSN program would be considered.

• Experience working with incarcerated, illicit drug use and persons with unstable housing not required but strongly recommended.

Education Required

• Unrestricted Arizona nursing license.
