We are searching for a Registered Nurse for a a 24-hour, 52-bed skilled nursing facility. In this home-like setting, our skilled professional staff works with residents and their families to provide care plans that reflect the needs and desires of the individual. Whether we are providing transportation to local appointments, hosting a family dinner for a resident or providing nutritional consulting, we strive to provide a loving, caring environment that feels like home.

The Registered Nurse plans for and utilizes nursing process to meet needs of patients of all ages. Includes assessment, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation and evaluation. (Assess per chart review).

Responsibilities:
Performs treatment in a safe and effective manner
Administers medications in a safe and timely manner
Maintains responsibility for preparation, interpretation and evaluation of test data
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to act appropriately in an emergency situation
Demonstrates knowledge and participates in education and counseling of patients and significant other in a plan of care
Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary
Promotes positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrates effective communication skills
Maintains confidentiality of all patient and hospital information
Practices according to professional and ethical standards.
Demonstrates an understanding of and functions as a professional nurse in accordance with Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment.

Estes Park, a Colorado town that sits along the Big Thompson River about 70 miles northwest from Denver. It is the base camp for the Rocky Mountain National Park (359 miles of trails, 150 lakes and 100 tall mountain peaks). All of the modern amenities such as restaurants, spas, golf courses, shops, and entertainment with still having the mountain flare. Sightings of the majestic elk that forage in the grassy meadows is a daily occurrence. Surrounded by the Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest there is plenty to do such as boating, white water rafting, paddle boarding, camping, hiking cycling, rock climbing, fly fishing, horseback, snowshoing, sledding, ice climbing, skiing etc. And don't forget to bring your camera!
