Residential worker

A residential care worker provides personal care and support to individuals residing in a care facility, assisting with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and medication management, while also offering companionship and emotional support, monitoring health conditions, and adhering to established care plans; essentially ensuring the well-being and safety of residents within the facility. 
Key responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. 
• Medication administration: Providing medication reminders and administering medications as per instructions from healthcare professionals. 
• Mobility support: Helping residents with walking, transferring, and using assistive devices. 
• Health monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in resident's physical or mental condition, including vital signs. 
• Activity support: Engaging residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities 
• Meal preparation: Serving meals and assisting with dietary needs 
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of resident care, including daily progress notes and incident reports. 
• Communication: Maintaining open communication with residents, families, and other healthcare team members 
• Household tasks: Performing light cleaning duties within the resident living areas 

• Compassionate and patient demeanor: Ability to provide care with empathy and understanding towards residents' needs.
