Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of lactation services provided. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree
1 years of experience
California RN License
CPR/BLS Certification (AHA)
PALS within 6 months (not applicable to NICU)
Certified Lactation Educator CLE and or Certified Lactation Consultant CLC
Experience in forensic interviewing children and adolescents
Experience working in the Child Advocacy Center environment
Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in the fields of child maltreatment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of experience
ACLS
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant IBCLC
Level III/IV nursing experience
Bilingual Spanish
