Job description:
Minimum of 4 years experience designing, developing, executing and maintaining test cases based on business and system requirements; identifies and prepares test data according to approved test definitions; executes test scripts manually or via automated tools; documents defects, issues and test session progress; reports results to management.
Responsibilities:
•    Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
•    Manage QA life cycle, which primarily includes creation of Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases/Scripts & Defect life-cycle management.
•    Review functional requirements and technical designs to create test plans and detailed test cases
•    Create and execute manual and automated tests based on software release enhancements.
•    Work closely with product managers and other teams to develop a deep understanding of a product’s requirements.
•    Development of automated test creation and execution using test automation tools
•    Work closely with our development team ensuring proper regression steps are documented
•    Understand system components, how they interact with one another, and perform different types of testing: functional, system, regression and acceptance.
•    Assist business; pre and post launch and act as first line of triage for any bugs found.
•    Works within QA team to develop and implement automation scripts
•    Participates in functional walkthroughs
•    Participates in the analysis of new requirements and uses cases to develop test approach and deliverables (test approach & architecture, scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data, and expected results)
•    Conducts ad-hoc and exploratory testing
•    Participates in the development of test coverage approach and maintains test plan in test management tool
•    Develops custom tools, utilities or approaches, as required to test the application and features for functional and non-functional requirements
•    Evaluates system behavior prior to and during load tests
•    Enter test cases, analyzes results and documents defects in defect tracking tool
•    Participates in the release management and quality process to validate that solutions meet business requirements
•    Participates in quality management reviews as outlined in the Quality Management practice to ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards.
Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance (preferably in IB environment & technology)
•    Experience running both manual and automated test scripts
•    Experience in test planning and execution, and User Acceptance Testing definition and execution
•    Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
•    Knowledge of software development and QA methodologies
•    Experience with project/case management and/or defect tracking software
•    Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software a plus
•    Strong preference to candidates with software development background (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
•    Demonstrated experience in QA processes and methodology; understanding requirements, test planning, test designing, and test execution
•    Excellent experience in functional, regression, smoke, and Integration testing.
•    Fast learner, with good attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to manage independently with little supervision in a fast paced demanding environment.
•    Ability to manage both manual and automation testing
•    Strong communication and coordination skills required to plan & deliver test solutions by interacting with global QA, BA, PM, Dev, and other downstream application teams as applicable
