Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

- Active and unrestricted state or Federal license

- Board Certified as Professional Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

- Active and unrestricted DEA

- Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications mandatory

- Full vaccinations and immunizations

- 3 References

Locums, Inc. is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) to provide caring mental health services in Pinon, AZ to local population.  Any valid state or Federal license acceptable.

About the Opportunity:

- Period of Performance is approx. 1/01/21 to 12/31/21 - Any availabilities during PoP welcome!

- 8a-5p, 5 days a week w/ minimum OT. No weekends or Holidays.

- Estimated 3-4 patients/hour

- Per Diem for travel, food and lodging provided

- Malpractice provided

- Located about 30 miles northwest of Chinle, AZ

- Position based out of Chinle, AZ, which is right next to the Canyon De Chelly National Monument – perfect assignment for folks who love hiking, biking, and outdoor activities.
