Protege Producer Program

The Agency Producer Protégé Program is a paid internship which allows individuals working inside of the insurance industry, or seeking to enter the insurance industry, a pathway to agency ownership. This unique program is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to grow their skills and business knowledge to become a Farmers® Agency Owner while partnering with an existing Farmers Agency.
 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-starter who has a desire to start or acquire their own small business within 12 months! The ideal candidate must possess a high level of drive and motivation and have excellent communication and sales skills.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

• The Agency Producer Protégé can learn from an experienced industry professional as well as have access to the award-winning University of Farmers®.

• When an Agency Producer Protégé meets all applicable eligibility requirements, they will have the opportunity to become an agency owner. The customary required investable asset requirements will be waived.
• Agency Producers Protégé will have 12 months to complete all eligibility requirements in place at the time, which may change from time to time in the Companies’ sole discretion.

• Property, Casualty, Life and Health licenses prior to appointment
• Training program through the University of Farmers®

Responsibilities

• Partner with new and existing clients to understand their insurance needs
• Leverage our needs based selling approach to provide proper coverage to our insureds
• Resolve client inquiries and concerns
• Expand business reach through networking and marketing processes
• Set goals, build plans, and track your numbers.

THE BENEFITS AFTER PROTEGE PROGRAM COMPLETION

Economic Interest

• Contract Value according to the terms of the appointment agreement
• Sale of Service and Commission Rights
• Opportunity to sell service and commission rights

Agency Start-Up Bonus

• Up to $7,500 bonus for establishment of branded office location within a specified time period after appointment

Monthly Marketing Bonus

• $300 per month if bonus qualification goals are met

Monthly Bonus Based on Net NB Commissions

• Bonus opportunity based on applicable monthly net new business commissions and applicable production for up to three years
• Bonuses based on Life and Commercial commissions subject to specified maximum amounts

Annual Bonus Based on Net NB Commissions

• Bonus opportunity based on applicable 12-month net new business commissions and applicable production for up to three years
• Bonuses based on Life and Commercial commissions subject to specified maximum amounts

Bonus Based on Reserve or Associate Program Net NB Commissions

• One-time bonus based on net new business commissions while on the Reserve Agent Program or Associate Agent Program
• Bonuses paid subject to specified maximum amounts
