Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager may oversee, direct, assign duties, and evaluate the work of their team members and project staff. Also, this individual may coordinate or communicate on project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners and contractors. The manager performs advanced levels of project management work, works under limited supervision and has considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Responsibilities:

• Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
•  Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
•  Participates and make presentations in APS meetings.
• Serves as single point of contact for federal partners.
• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
•  Manages assigned projects varying from multiple, short, small, well-defined projects to very large program-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

• Possess strong and tested project management skills, including risk management.
• Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis.
• 36 months of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership
• Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 84 months Government Experience is a plus.
• 48 months experience of information systems.
• 84 months project management experience.
• Managed enterprise level projects.
• PMP Certification
• Master’s Degree is preferred
