POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Accountant is required to meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities,
including: setting up business plans, sales forecasts, managing and forecasting corporate cashflow,
monitoring the progress of projects, monitoring budgets, and investigating variances, all while ensuring
that project invoices are approved and payments are made to vendors. This position reports to the
Senior Accounting Manager, or another senior management personnel that the President of the
Company may designate.
This position is located in Irvine, California, and the ideal candidate will be within commutable distance
to the Irvine office location. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm, with a
1-hour lunchbreak.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for setting up business plans and sales forecasts;
• Managing & forecasting corporate cashflow;
• Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders;
• Process vendor invoices related to a project;
• Review and approve time sheets for work related to a project;
• Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project;
• Review account totals related to project assets and expenses;
• Investigate project variances (budget vs. actual) and submit variance reports to management;
• Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings;
• Work with project finance team on drawdown of construction loan;
• Report on project profitability to management;
• Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects;
• Create or approve all project-related billings to customers;
• Periodically review project status and seek approval for the write-off of any project cost that cannot
be collected;
• Respond to requests for more detail from customers and vendors;
• Close out project accounts upon project completion;
• Estimate cost to accrue when projects are sold and analyze project margins;
• Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required;
• Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial information, as required by Management and
Headquarters;
• Collaborates with the other team members to support overall department goals and objectives;
• Works with non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries and other affiliated companies;
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources
while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed; and
• Performs other accounting and finance duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field;
-CPA, preferred;
-Minimum of 5-years of experience in the area of project accounting, or the equivalent;
-Bilingual (English and Spanish), a plus;
-Experience using SAP;
-Knowledge of GAAP;
-Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook;
-Experience in construction or renewable energy industry, preferred;
-Previous experience working in a multinational company, preferred;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex
information clearly;
-Strong, self-motivated team player;
-Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player; and
-Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic, environment.
