Production Planning Coordinator

The Production Planning Coordinator works with parties across the supply chain including, Inventory Control, Value Added Services, Distribution, Shipping, and Customer Service to build, plan, and route customer shipments while following customer specific guidelines and requirements.  In conjunction with the rest of the production planning team, the Production Planning Coordinator builds waves to plan and schedule work for the Distribution Center.  This individual works to prioritize customer shipments and ensure shipments and their requirements are communicated clearly and accurately to the distribution team.

Schedule:  8AM to 4PM -- Monday through Friday.  

Fila is operating under a hybrid model for remote work.  This position will be 2 days in office/3 days remote.  Remote schedule may change as needed for business purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize orders to Route in a timely manner.
• Builds waves and processes customer shipments in order of priority.
• Coordinate work flow with other departments including distribution, shipping, customer service, marketing, sales, and all other departments as necessary.
• Communicates routing exceptions and scheduling issues to the Production Planning Manager and Customer Service.
• Works with Production Planning Manager and Customer Service Representatives to prioritize routing in order to meet or exceed customer schedules.
• Works with Production Planning Manager, Shipping team, and Distribution Managers, Supervisors, and leaders to ensure all orders are completed on time for shipping.
• Follows orders through the entire distribution process from inception to shipment and notifies necessary parties if there are any changes to schedule.
• Coordinates special order requests with Customer Service, Operations and Transportation.
• Notifies necessary parties of all requested changes from the customer regarding scheduling, processing and shipping.
• Communicate directly with Customers and Transportation professionals.
• Utilize a variety of customer specific transportation management systems to route customer freight.
• Builds relationships with Customers and Customer transportation vendors to ease the routing process.
• Understands and communicates Customer specific regulations and requirements.

• High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
• Strong Interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Advanced Windows based software skills in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook (AS400 a plus)
• Knowledge of order Processing Systems (wholesale, distribution, retail)
• Ability to decipher reports and consolidate orders
• Ability to utilize and navigate multiple TMS formats
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Team player and able to multi-task and change directions quickly in a fast paced environment
