Ambulatory Registered EEG Technologists Neurovative Diagnostics - Houston, TX and Surrounding Cities

JOB SUMMARYNeurovative Diagnostics is seeking a registered or non-registered EEG technologist responsible for performing in home ambulatory EEGs in Midland, TX and the surrounding area

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Requires extensive driving to the patient's homes in a 200-mile area of Houston, TX (car mileage paid). Must have valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

2. Must meet the needs of the patient and physicians using the guidelines, policies and procedures set by the company. Background checks are possible.

3. Under minimal supervision, set up the equipment and the patient for an ambulatory or routine EEG in the patient's home or physician's office. Must also disconnect patients from EEG leads and upload studies.

4. Ability to communicate well with patients, physicians and other employees.

5. Obtains required medical information, assesses the patient and explains the procedure with paperwork to the patient and family members.

6. Must be willing to handle patient phone calls during their AEEG study

7. Must be able to identify and notate normal and abnormal variants of the entire EEG.

8. Maintain and clean equipment to ensure proper functioning.

9. Maintain a positive relationship with referring physicians and fellow employees by quickly resolving issues.

10. We focus on patient centered care.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION:Registered EEG Technologist preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Minimum of one-year experience in Neurodiagnostic Technology preferred. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development stages to meet each patient's needs.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:ABRET REEGT Certificate and Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.

OTHER SKILLS:Proficient computer skills, Basic knowledge of MS Office and EEG applications, Problem solving, Attention to detail, Must be able to recognize equipment problems and perform basic troubleshooting.
