Prep Cook Full/Part Time

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities
• Assists Cook as directed by the Food Service Director.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, refrigerator, freezer and dining rooms.
• Prepares, portions, and labels entrée foods per menu
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods
• Follows Production sheets and Pre-Preparation Guides.
• Uses proper handwashing technique and frequency.
• Sanitation Responsibilities
• Meal Service Responsibilities
• Food Safety Responsibilities
• Special Activities/Attributes
• Maintain confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with all staff, residents and their families

Job Requirements:

• current CPR/First Aid certification a plus
• prior work experience in food service, geriatric, nursing, assisted living or similar environment preferred
• ability to be on his/her feet for prolonged periods
• self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to pass pre-employment drug-and background screening (level 2)
