Prep Cook

Prep Cook:

• Assist the chefs by chopping vegetables & washing food items
• Ensure kitchen equipment & appliances are ready for use
• Maintain a clean & hygienic work environment at all times
• Prepare salads, salad dressings & sauces
• Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chefs
• Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
• Study the menu & prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
• Learn about the cooking methods & techniques employed in the kitchen
• Strong multitasking & organizational skills
• Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, & kitchen safety 
• Passionate about culinary arts & creative cooking
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills 
• Familiar with general kitchen equipment & appliances
• Able to follow instructions accurately & efficiently
• Physically able to stand & move around for long periods of time
