Medical Search International is looking for Physical Therapists to work in the Correctional Health Care Setting in NJ.

Job Requirements:
must comply with all security regulations and procedures of NJ Department of Corrections and the assigned facility(ies) including, but not limited to sign in logs or electronic time clocks, searches of person and property, etc. Violations of NJ Department of Corrections and/or being banned by the Department of Corrections to work at a NJ Department of Corrections’ facility are grounds for a disciplinary action and potential termination.
Physical Demands:
Ability to type and use a computer to enter in the Electronic Medical Record. Ability to read, write and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with upper management. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others. Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service environment. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, inmates, and other employees in the organization. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, customers, and/or the general public. Ability to respond to common inquiries from patients. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to respond effectively to most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. An ability to interact with a diverse populations in a prison setting.
Work Environment:
A generally crisis oriented, secure environment working with adult inmates, some who exhibit aggressive, threatening behavior. Incumbent must exhibit flexibility to work in a variety of settings. Entering and movement within the facility will be controlled by Correctional Officers. Risk of body fluid exposure. Must be able to maneuver around architectural barriers and obstructions found in a prison environment.
Hours:
Juvenile Facilities in Bordentown and Monroe: 2-3 days/wk dependent on census, At least 1 day in each location and a 3rd day if someone requires therapy twice a week, contract is ongoing, typically 6-8 hrs per day
Rahway Adult Facility: 1-2 days/wk, contract is ongoing, census driven, typically work 6-8 hrs per day
Clinton Adult Facility: 2-4 days/wk, contract is ongoing, census driven, typically work 6-8 hrs per day
Bridgeton Adult Facility: Full time Hours 8-4:30pm, M-F, from 8/2/21 though 11/8/2021
