Job Compensation
$80,000-$90,000 based on education, experience and certifications at the time of hire.

Your Impact Here at MBC
  • Provide direct therapy on a 1:1 basis to individuals between the ages of 4 – 21 years old with autism and other special needs
  • Provide formal and informal physical therapy assessment of each client on caseload.
  • Complete daily session notes indicating progress towards clients’ skill acquisition
  • Develop and write annual goals and objectives for each client on caseload
  • Write semi-annual progress reports describing clients’ acquisition towards established goals
  • Participate in the insurance authorization process (e.g., initial and reauthorization evaluations/reports and session notes) if family is seeking reimbursement
  • Carry over data collection and behavior management interventions and reinforcement procedures in accordance with each client’s behavior management plan and center policies
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary setting with other providers (e.g., BCBA's, OT's, and SLP's) that are clients’ team members
  • Build and maintain a professional and positive relationship with parents/caregivers and outside providers by ensuring frequent communication (e.g., check-ins, recurring updates, etc.)
  • Submit all thorough and complete paperwork in a timely manner to the PT supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited university with a degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current New York State Physical Therapy License
  • Minimum 3 years pediatric experience in the field of PT and one year of experience providing PT to individuals with autism.
  • Familiarity with the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales
