Peer Recovery Specialist

Peer Advocates serve as a role model for individuals facing substance-exposed living and are in varying phases of recovery. In this role, you would follow 180 Health Partners’ guidelines and trauma-informed philosophy in planning care, assessing client needs, and completing screenings. You also would refer clients to resources as needed, and coordinate with the 180 Health Partners’ team, primary care providers, managed care organizations, and community agencies to provide quality care for our clients.

You will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to work from home in a field-based, mobile environment while providing services in provider offices, home, and community settings across a region. Our teams address substance-exposed living for adults with an emphasis on women’s health and opiate exposed pregnancy. We meet our clients where they are and our engagements are person-centered, focused on high-quality interactions and sustainable outcomes using evidence-based tools.

Required Qualifications:
• Must be certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with using Cloud-based systems, EMRs, and teleconferencing applications
• Build up a peer recovery plan with the client.
• Sometimes show up at delivery room & work with DCS.
• A background in maternal/substance use populations
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial Insurance practices
