This position will complete projects and regular maintenance activities at Bellevue and Fox Point State Parks. This position is responsible for building and grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: plumbing; HVAC maintenance and repair; electrical diagnostics and repairs; carpentry and remodeling work; small engine equipment operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair; welding and metal work; landscaping, grounds maintenance, and tree work; as well as other duties as assigned. The selected candidate will work both with a team and independently, depending on the project.
Bellevue State Park is home to several venues available for weddings, celebrations and gatherings of all types. Bellevue Hall provides elegant indoor settings for receptions and corporate functions, while the mansion's grounds and gardens are the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding. The park was acquired by the State of Delaware in 1976.
