We are an established Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury Law and Social Security Disability law firm based in Sarasota, Florida, a city ranked as a top location to live in Florida.  We are seeking a full time Legal Assistant /Paralegal to assist in our Workers’ Compensation department. This is not a remote position so the candidate will need to live within commuting distance to the office.

Job Purpose:
Enhances attorney effectiveness by providing information and case management support in representing our clients
Duties:

• Coordinate case preparation and produce information to case settlement
• Requests reports and medical records
• Manage telephone communications by answering or directing inquiries
• Represents attorney by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney
• Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential

Skills/Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal preferred or Paralegal Certification
• Documentation Skills, Telephone Skills, General Office Experience, PC Proficiency in MS Office, Verbal Communication, Internal Communications, Dependability, Professionalism, Client Relationships
• Spanish speaker preferred but not required.
• Must be punctual

Salary:
Compensation commensurate with experience
