Oil & Gas Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

The Valve Assembly Technician is responsible for preparing parts and components for sub-assemblies and full valve assembly. This includes cleaning parts and components, preparing parts for the next stage of assembly, putting together sub-assemblies, checking all work for quality, and verifying part quantities and quality against work orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean parts and components in a parts washer using specified solvent and chemicals as required, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Prepare parts for the next stage of assembly process as instructed by supervisor or trainer.
• Put together basic sub-assemblies.
• Check all work for quality.
• Verify part quantities and quality against work orders.
• Identify and is accountable for various parts and materials.
• Fills out any paperwork and logs as necessary for tracking purposes.
• Complies with Safety policy and practice.

Qualifications:

• Ability to function effectively both individually and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong organization skills.
• Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Prior experience in general assembly is a plus but not required.
