Job Type

Part Time/Fee for Service Occupational Therapist for clinic and in-home cases

 

Job Hours

Cases available after school hours (Mon-Fri 2;45pm-6:00pm). Occasional cases available during school hours and weekends 
 

Job Location

Manhattan, NY

 

Job Compensation

$80-$90 per 45 min session, $100-$110 per hr. based on education, experience, and certifications.  

Your Impact Here at MBC

  • Providing direct therapy on a 1:1 basis to children with autism and other special needs.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials prior to each session
  • Complete daily session notes
  • Provide formal and informal occupational therapy assessments of clients on their caseload
  • Develop and write annual goals and objectives for each client on caseload
  • Write semi-annual progress reports describing clients’ acquisition towards established goals
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary setting with other providers (e.g., BCBA's, SLP's, and PT's) that are clients’ team members
  • Build and maintain a professional and positive relationship with parents/caregivers and outside providers by ensuring frequent communication (e.g., check-ins, recurring updates, etc.)
  • Submit all thorough and complete paperwork in a timely manner to the OT clinical supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Current New York State Occupational Therapy License
  • Experience working with children with autism.
