Culinary Health Fund is looking for a detail-oriented team player to fill the role of Network Administrator. 80% of this job will be taking care of our Cisco Network routers and switches. Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support and maintain the Fund’s network infrastructure and help with desktop support as time allows. The Network Administrator will maintain network integrity through established backup recovery procedures as well as administer Fund user accounts, e-mail, and Internet access.
The Network Administrator will help support the day-to-day network operation and provide maintenance and support, as well as disaster recover (where applicable) for und systems using Cisco technology. The Network Administrator will also maintain and monitor all Fund remote VPN connectivity and act as the focal point for maintaining enterprise network and server security against attacks from outside agencies as well as from Virus attack. This person will maintain integrity of software, SQL databases, user account and access permissions while responding to end-user inquiries on the telephone, and via email. Other responsibilities will include: plan network and server upgrades in time windows that least impact production, provide backup to the UNIX administrator position, communicate with vendors regarding application bugs and planned implementation schedules of application, and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job.
Qualifications:
MCSE, CCNA, or other certifications focusing on network topology, protocol, design, and maintenance
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a(n) IT environment
Experience working in a multi-domain NT server environment that spans a WAN
Thorough knowledge of local and wide area networks, to include experience in small- and large-scale network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance
Ability to:
Prioritize and work on a variety of assignments
Bi- or Multi- lingual skills (written and verbal): A Plus
Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
