Montessori Teacher

GMA is now hiring for Lead teachers, Assistant Teachers and Substitute teachers.

Job Type: Full Time/Part Time.

Education: Minimum High School/Bachelor

Experience: A minimum of 2 year experience in Montessori School is a plus.

Qualifications:

Lead Teacher: Montessori Certified or Montessori Experience

Assistant Teacher: Daycare experience

Substitute Teacher: Daycare experience

Job Description:

• 45 clock hours with DCF.
• The teaching assistants work cohesively with the lead teachers.
• Are expected to foster, along with the lead teachers, a nurturing and stimulating non-competitive environment.
• Good spelling, and grammar.
• Ability to organize the flow of a busy classroom.
• Ability to handle detailed work.
• Ability to help Lead teacher with the classroom materials
• Must be able to relate and interact appropriately and professionally with children.
• We are seeking a warm and caring individual to join our team, guiding either children 3-6 years old, or children 1-3 years old, assisting with curriculum planning and preparation of the classroom, social and emotional skills, and independence.
• Be open to instruction and direction in support of the children's motives and Montessori philosophy.
• Must be able to maintain neat and organized classroom.
• Be equipped and prepared for outdoor play.
• All assistants are expected to support the Montessori teaching method.
• Knowing Spanish is a plus.
