Experience required: Minimum 10 - 12 years’ experience in an Oil Refinery, with Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervising pre- Commissioning, Commissioning and start-up of plants of large size projects. Significant on-site operating experience with deep understanding of all aspects of plants operations.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering or equivalent
Prime Responsibilities:
· A good working knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control System) / Analogue Control system, Advanced Control Equipment, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems.
· Thorough knowledge of company standards and practices relating to HSE, PSM, Quality, Personnel and Training.
· Participating in the Pre-Start-Up Safety Review (PSSR’s) process, in plant troubleshooting and optimization, attending regular weekly/monthly work progress meetings, safety meeting and other necessary coordination meetings to monitor progress and completion of site activities
· Preparing and implementing pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and start-up safety procedures such as log out /tag out (LOTO), permit to work (PTW), control of blinds etc.
· Verify on the plants all systems for compliance with the Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other pertinent engineering documents, required for determining the safe and proper operations of the systems.
· Attend performance tests, Factory Acceptance Test (FATs) & Site Acceptance Test (SATs) of equipment as necessary and provide constructive comments.
