Location: Bronx, NY
Medical Technologist: Full Time Shifts: All are Monday-Friday

Medical Technologist Part Time Shifts:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician, you will be responsible for performing moderate complexity testing, analyzing, reviewing, and reporting test results and quality control results, as well as taking remedial action when indicated. You will ensure specimen integrity by following proper procedures for specimen handling and processing, as well as adhering to policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety. Performs staff Medical Technologist duties.
Additional responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician include:
Following procedures for test analysis and reporting, and maintaining records of patient results
Understanding and operating test systems proficiently
Troubleshooting test systems and taking appropriate action where indicated
Utilizing job knowledge, judgment, and problem solving skills to ensure quality Performs simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and SOPs.
Trains other technical personnel in the performance of laboratory tasks
Approves the performance of tests by technicians
Uses independent judgement and assumes accountability for high quality standards

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician:
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related healthcare science field
1-3 years experience as a generalist including: Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Serology/Immunology.
New York Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
