Material Handler

StaffBuffalo is thrilled to be working with one of our fantastic Manufacturing clients in Buffalo to hire a Temporary-to-Possible-Hire 2nd shift Material Handler paying $16.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience! This Material Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading product deliveries, maintaining facility inventory, and transferring materials between departments. They will be required to utilize forklifts, hand trucks, and elevators, in addition to, hand and power trucks to move materials throughout the facility. This Material Handler will be expected to work closely with the purchasing department regarding inventory levels and purchasing requests. They will be responsible for storing and moving various parts and products, stacking pallets, assisting machine operators as needed, and organizing materials as required. This Material Handler will be expected to consistently follow safety guidelines, safely operate hand tools, and maintain accurate inventory records. This Materials Handler must have the capacity to manually lift loads of up to 60-100lbs. It is imperative that this Material Handler demonstrates superb written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision, and effective time management skills.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 + years experience in Material Handling
• 2 + years experience operating a Forklift
• 1 + years experience in Inventory Management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• QAD/MFGPro system experience is a plus
• Excellent Analytical skills
• Data Entry
• Ability to manually lift 60-100 pounds
• Time Management skills

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA Forklift Certification
