The Marketing Manager works with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement all marketing activities for The Atlanta Opera.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide support for all marketing activities including website management, subscription and single ticket sales campaigns, advertising, telemarketing, special promotions, e-marketing and social media efforts, and audience development campaigns

· Coordinate the development of overall marketing strategy to generate awareness, increase single ticket sales, and acquire and renew subscribers

· Executes all social media and social advertising activities

· Lead the Atlanta Opera’s retail operation, ShopOpera, buying and pricing merchandise and reconciling sales with the finance department

· Assist in the management and marketing of audience development events, like Opera’s Night Out

· Coordinate production of all marketing collateral and materials

· Help manage direct mail campaigns, including list acquisition, mail house and/or post office coordination and volunteer management for in-house mailings

  • Work with Tessitura database on reports, research and list pulls
  • Compile copy and supervise proofing process for the ARIA, the Atlanta Opera’s production program.
  • Assist with campaign analysis and metrics reporting to SMT, underwriters, sponsors and partners
  • Assist in outbound group sales efforts, including targeting new and underserved audiences
  • Provide support to patron services by serving as backup for ticketing as needed
  • Help manage budget by processing quotes and invoices, and managing costs associated with marketing programs, while reporting updates to Director of Marketing and Director of Media & Communications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years of work experience in marketing or related field
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using Tessitura
  • Must perform the functions of the position in a safe manner
  • Position requires evening and weekend obligations during the opera season
